What is the positive Democratic message that unites all Americans?

There are two ideas of government. There are those who believe that, if you will only legislate to make the well-to-do prosperous, their prosperity will leak through on those below. The Democratic idea, however, has been that if you legislate to make the masses prosperous, their prosperity will find its way up through every class which rests upon them.
William Jennings Bryan, 1896 who turned out to be a Trumpist before his time!

How about

The Democratic Party is the REAL DEAL party that dares to REALLY work for good health and good jobs for ALL Americans

in order to DELIVER the forgotten promises Trump's 2016 campaign made to forgotten Americans, by means of bubble-up economics from the bottom 99% instead of trickle-down voodoo economics from the top 1%.
as opposed to
The Republican Party is the PRETEND DEAL party that dares to PRETEND to work for ALL Americans, but REALLY works to protect the power of its elite 1% ruling class of donors

in order to DELIVER -
How do these things make life better for forgotten Americans?

Problem: single-issue voters - pillars of Republican minority rule

There are three single-issue constituencies among the pillars of Republican minority rule -

It would be best to leave those issues to be addressed, or not, in each district. Making them pillars of the national Democratic message is just a gift to Republicans.

Problem: fear issues

There are three fear issues that the Republicans manipulate to their advantage -

The Democratic national message must emphasize bringing the rule of law to insure safe streets, orderly legal immigration, and orderly elections, while leaving the details to be addressed appropriately in each district, and noting that the Republican ruling class

Solution: National Democratic Message

The national message must be broad enough to encompass the whole party and appeal to all persuadable voters, yet the details have to be worked out to make a winning package in each state and district. Thus leftists who find Joe Manchin too conservative should try primarying him out with a leftist and see how much they like the Trumpist that will defeat him, e.g. Don Blankenship or worse.

The far left imagines that there is a huge reservoir of non-voters that would support them if energized. That's hard to believe, considering the very small turnout of Green voters in 2020 compared to earlier presidential years. The untapped reservoir of leftist voters is likely very small. In contrast, Libertarians cost Republicans the presidential election in 2020 and quite a few legislative seats - a much larger untapped reservoir if the Republicans get more inclusive and the Libertarians more pragmatic.

Trump just turned out all an all-time record number of Republican voters and nearly won - he came closer to electoral victory with 44,000 popular votes than Clinton in 2016 by 78,000 popular votes. Worse, the Republicans made progress in the House and probably saved the Senate. The Republicans will make further gains in 2022 - the party not in the White House usually does - and Democrats need to start acting now to minimize the damage.

The Democrats can't make any progress until they control the Senate, and to do that they have to restore their historical reach in rural areas. Their national message better reflect that.

The Greens and Libertarians have remarkable ideological purity. On national elections, though, the Greens' greatest successes were electing Bush in 2000 and Trump in 2016, while the Libertarians' was electing Biden in 2020. Don't be like them, Democrats - be a party that can make laws, not just a party of ideals!
