The most direct way to reparations is to provide a
universal basic income to EVERY voter -

 https://political-scrapbook.net/2020-ubi.html

Otherwise, it's a morass of conflicting priorities -

 https://buffalonews.com/reparations-are-a-financial-quandary-for-democrats-theyre-a-political-one-too/article_5b4622ac-bc0d-5cea-b117-3b5ad5e322fe.html

and unlikely to become politically and financially
feasible.

How legis$lation get$ written when there are no limit$
on campaign contribution$.

Reagan deregulation passed Congress with some Democratic
support - and led to the savings and loan meltdown of
the 1980's.

Ever hear of FSLIC any more? How about RTC? It's still
around.

Bush deregulation passed Congress with some Democratic
support - and led to the bank collapse of 2008.

 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007%E2%80%932008_financial_crisis

Trump deregulation passed Congress with some Democratic
support - and led to the collapse of several banks lately.

But that's the whole point of financial deregulation -
to unleash the creative power of entrepreneurs to think of
entirely new ways to get rich at the expense of everybody
else - and repay their congressional benefactors. How did
you think Congressional campaigns get financed?

Apparently this cycle has to repeat at least once a
generation to educate a new cadre of suckers. But it
seems to be repeating much faster now - at internet speed.

Don't expect any change in behavior without changing the
Constitution to make it clear that money is not speech.
Good luck with that!

The ruling class is not going to just roll over and let
that happen.

Why everybody feels bad -

They've forgotten what a recession is like.
