What fact does McCarthy need?

He already knows the only fact that matters - any GOP who
votes for any meaningful gun control will get primaried
in the next election by somebody even worse, who might be
defeated by a Democrat in the general election.  And then
McCarthy might lose his majority!

Firearms enthusiasts are one of the critical single-issue
constituencies that are essential to the GOP in swing
districts.

So if a few kids get shot up every month, it's a small
price to pay to keep our beloved GOP legislators in office!

a well regulated militi,   and interpret the right of the
people to be an individual rather than collective right,
